Do I need any preparation?
Yes. Light activity is recommended before the visit, and strenuous exercise should be avoided if possible. For MRI, all metallic items must be removed before the scan.
What can joint MRI detect better than X-ray?
MRI is much more sensitive for cartilage injury, meniscal tears, ligament rupture, tendon damage, marrow edema, and other soft-tissue pathology that may not be visible on standard X-ray.
How quickly will I receive results?
X-ray is typically reported on the same day. MRI reports are usually issued within 24 hours, and English orthopedic consultation is arranged within 24 hours after exams.
What happens after the consultation?
You receive a clear treatment pathway, which may include rehabilitation guidance, image-guided intervention options, PRP discussion, or surgical referral when appropriate.
